Dynamic Delivery: “Vibrant, compelling presentation delivery style that grabs and holds the attention of the audience.” (Kelly & Williams, 2015 p. 80).

Active Voice: “Sentence construction in which the subject performs the action expressed by the verb.” (Kelly & Williams, 2015 p. 72).

Nonverbal Communication: “Business transactions conducted online, typically via the Internet” (Kelly & Williams, 2015 p. 67).

Self Confidence is the most crucial characteristic to have.  Defined as a feeling of trust in one’s abilities, qualities or judgement. The biggest driving force behind your entire life is your mental opinion of yourself. What you think about yourself dictates your actions an incredible amount. People grow up their entire life learning things about their self through what other people tell them and their interactions with others, therefore letting others shape their opinions of their self.

Someone’s opinion of their self is their driving force for how they handle success and failure. If a student thinks that they are a bad student, they will act accordingly. Not study for a single test, postpone work until the day it is due, and write shoddy papers without proof reading them. All these things are actions performed by bad student, or at least an irresponsible students. When someone thinks that they are a bad student, they are going to behave as one and perform the actions discussed. Thinking that they are a bad student, going into a test, they doubt themselves and expect to fail. So when they fail a class or a test they simple chalk it up to them being a bad student. It is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Thinking that they will fail going into the test is asking for failure.

The way to approach any goal is to not only believe in yourself. Actually it is beyond believing in yourself. It is knowing you are capable of what you want to accomplish. Once you have no doubt in your mind that you are capable of accomplishing your goals, your success at the goals will inevitable rise. If someone wants to transform who they are as a student, they need to prioritize what a good student does. A good student studies, a good student does their work with ample time before the due date, a good student develops structured school work habits, and proof read papers. With all this in mind you need to expect yourself to do all of these things and hold yourself up to the standard. If you let a paper due date slide past and get a zero for the paper, you got the zero because of your work habits, not your intelligence. Everyone has the ability to accomplish anything they set their mind to they just need to work hard enough and develop the habits of the people that have accomplished and continue to accomplish your goal. If you fail a test, it is not because you were not smart enough, it is because you did not study enough. Also you must respect yourself enough to hold yourself to your expectations. You need be worried more about letting yourself down than anyone else. Sometimes believing in yourself is not enough, you have to know you can accomplish whatever you set your mind to.
