P.S. I Love You by Cecelia Ahern - Book Review

"P.S. I love you" is the first novel written by Irish writer Cecelia Ahern, published in 2004 and recognized as a world bestseller. If you read books about love with ecstasy, this book will tell you how love can be stronger than death.

After losing her husband, Holly Kennedy falls into despair and stops communicating with people. Everything changes one day when she found a box with letters addressed to her that are needed to be opened at the beginning of each month. It turned out that the sender is Holly’s husband Gerry. Before death, he had written this letters in order to help Holly move on. Every time she is looking forward to the first day of the month to open the next envelope and strictly follows the instructions given by Gerry.

I like that in the book best friends of the main character – Sharon and Denise are not idealized. The plot is not about ordinary life and it describes real life. Also, I like the letters written by Gerry.

In many books, the authors describe friends like people who are always ready to help you at any time but not in this story. Sharon and Denise – they are people too and they have their own lives, and even though they love Holly - they cannot give her all their free time. As for the letters, they help us to know the personality of Gerry better.
