Constructing a Justified Society

The society is characterized by incidents of inequality at all levels. This includes the personal day-to-day interactions that do not uphold a just system for each person. By exploring the variations, one realizes that there is, however, some accepted levels of inequality. In that case, one would contemplate of how the world would be if justice and stability became each one focus in undertaking activities and interactions. The situation seems unimaginable, but there is the structure that can be in the position to bring the situation into reality. In progress towards a just and stable society, there is the need to reflect on the current challenges such as inequality and divisions in religious, moral, and philosophical doctrines (Boylan). Then it becomes clear that Rawls Theory of Justice as Fairness is a possible structure of raising a world and society that can provide a just dissemination of opportunities and liberty, self-respect, and wealth including income. The focus of the essay is to bring to the surface the concept of justice not regarding retribution thinking but on how possible it is for a just and stable society to exist with divisions in religious, moral, and philosophical doctrines deriving from reason. In the structure, equality which is the core of justice is understood regarding justice as fairness in all domains of societal operations.

Nolan’s film “The Dark Knight” (2008) is a clear indication of the level of injustice and inequality in the society today. The community of Gotham City is presented as a system of moral decay that results in so much suffering and pain including the death of innocent people. It is a presentation of people’s view on good and evil. The Gotham society is presented as a society in which each is free of expectations of a contract while still pursuing preoccupations about identity, masks and lethal. It is an example of a morally confused society. The film presents the search for a moral society through the aid of religion and legal systems. In my view, in structuring a just and morally upright society, there is the need for various institutions to come together and support each other in ensuring justice and stability are achieved. As reflected in the movie, economic, religious, and legal forces all play a major role in structuring any society. However, it is important to learn that it is much easier to combine efforts towards similar goals for the institutions to achieve much success.

A stable and just society are because of collaborations. Cooperation makes it possible for a better life to be achieved through increasing the building up of primary goods (Rawls).
