Abortion is wrong under any circumstance

Abortion

Mother Theresa once said, “It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish.” This is a perfect example of how pro-life people see abortion. However, not everyone believes this quote is correct. Some people may think that abortion is okay and it is not a big deal, while others think abortion is only okay in some situations. As one may see there are many different views on abortion. That is why the subject on abortion has been a controversy among the world for centuries.

Different religions and beliefs have various thoughts on abortion. This is the reason this particular claim is very controversial. However, it is not impossible to support. Every year there is a walk in Washington D.C. for the awareness of abortion. People either for or against abortion attend this walk. They fight for what they believe and this just shows how important it is to people. Roughly 250,000 people attend this walk annually. That is not the only big event that people include abortion. Every four years when they elect the president, it is a big deal if they are for or against abortion. Somewhere in the speeches they bring up the controversy. Abortion is not a difficult subject to support because it is an argument all over the world.

Abortion is not only a controversy about if it is wrong or right but rather what abortion actually is. Many believe that birth control, day after pill, or any contraceptive that prevents a pregnancy from happening. More uneducated people think that it is not an abortion if the baby is still premature. There are many different views on it.

A warrant for the claim, abortion is wrong under any circumstance, is human life is sacred that is why murder is wrong. Roman Catholic’s believe that anything to prevent a pregnancy is an abortion because it says it in the bible. Everyone should have a chance to live. Once person should not have a right to say that they do not want their baby to live. Many women pick many excuses to get an abortion, for instance, if a woman was raped or they were too poor to raise a child. There are always other answers, like adoption. According to Gallup, a research based performance management consulting company, a new data has been released in May 2012 that fifty percent of Americans are pro life. There are two hundred and thirty four abortions per 1,000 live births according to the Center for Disease Control. Over abortions a year are 1.2 million, which means there are 3,288 per day. If more people were more aware of this they would help stand up against abortions. Millions of babies die each year and knowing that fifty percent vote against it is horrible. The warrant is unacceptable to many people because everyone has different views on abortion. Abortion violates the sixth amendment thou shalt not kill.

Tim Tebow and great football player fights against abortion and raises the awareness because he was almost killed before he was born. The doctors told his mother that he would be born with deformities and gave her the option of abortion. Luckily she said no and he is here to tell everyone his story. Another inspirational story that touched

many of hearts was from Lacey Buchanan. The doctors told her that her baby would have some thing wrong with it. When the due date came closer they found out it was a lot worse than they thought. They were worried about how they would raise it but still went along with the pregnancy. The baby boy was born with no eyes. She sees him as an angel and others ask her why she did not have an abortion. After hearing that she felt the need to tell everyone about her blessing in her life, her baby.

The controversy with abortion is very diverse; you are either for it or against it. This affects a life that has not had a chance or the option of living. So there are no in between, meaning you cannot be kind of against it. In 1973 the U.S. Supreme Court legalized abortion in ruling Roe Vs. Wade. Roe was for abortion backing up with the Fourteenth Amendment’s right to privacy. He believed that a woman should have the freedom to make the decision on having the baby or not. Other members of the pro-choice movement believed that it is perfectly okay to have an abortion because the fetus is not yet a human. This is what I meant earlier by saying “uneducated people.”  But of course these are peoples opinions and they can think of how they want. However if they were taught about abortion then abortion would not be so common and accepting.
