Camdomble Orixa

Most of the people in the entire world have his or her own religion. They believe in their Gods and they worship them everyday since they think that it will be helpful for them in their daily life and they can live peacefully. However there are some groups of people who believe in more than one God and I will describe some of the Gods that they consider to be truthful. The way we worship God is not the same as the way some people do. For example, The African- Brazilian used the music called Candomble as a form of religious rituals. This topic seems interesting and I am going to explain them below.

Levy said that Candomble is a backyard where the ORISHAS and the other ancestors are praised. The backyard has an urban built space where people dance and a virgin space where there is an African forest and this place believe as venerated (Levy, n.d). He also gave information to us that Candomble is the erection of worship to nature with dance, food, and colors. The "Saint" dad and mom, the "Saint Children, and the drum players performed in the Candomble and they voiced out the holy song to call ORISHA. At this time all the citizens took part. They give respect to ORISHAS by singing, dancing to show Pleasure, Fondness and Helping (Levy, n.d). In my country, we use only food to worship. Singing songs is meant to be rude and instead we listen the peaceful chants of the monks. Moreover, we don't use any instruments while we are worshipping and we think that it is more effective to be quiet and listen to the monks so that we can pay more attention.

According to the author, the ORISHAS – Yoruba are the African Gods and now it will be a legendary predecessor captivated and transform into forces and nature. Each person has his or her own ORISHA called the "head owner" and other want to worship and provide security (Levy, nd). People worship in the temple and the worshippers enter the temple with new washed dresses. They also pour water on themselves before entering so that they can be cleaned from the dirt of the outside world (Major Religion of the World, n.d). We have to be clean before we pray because we have gone to different places and touched dirty things. God are meant to be different from ordinary people, we have to give full respect to them.

Each God have his or her own special day of the week, food, symbols and songs. In the magazine "Vision of Brazil" there are around ten Camdomble Gods (Vision of Brazil, n.d ) .One of those Gods include Yemaya. In the journal " The Magical Art of Thalia Look " it is written that the Goddess of the living Ocean and the mother of all is Yemaya. She lives in the water especially River Ogun. Her name " Yey Omo Eja" signifies that she is "the mother of the fish". She is a good mother who takes care of her kids from any dangers. In addition, she can make the infertility in
