Continuity tester is a tester that test to see if a device is receiving and transmitting electricity. It has a battery attached to a wire that is attached to an alligator clip. The clip is placed on the device once you have verified that power is shut off. If the continuity tester lights up or buzzes then there is connectivity and the device is ok to use but if there is a faint buzzing or dull to no light and no noise then the device has faulty wiring and must be fixed.

Optical Return Loss test sets test and corrects any reflections from the connectors and the components in the fiber link or its assembly. It can be used to measure losses on installed systems and loss that takes place at discontinuities at the refractive index. This device is best used to test for attenuation and absolute power level on transmission systems.

Light source and optical power meters are devices used to measure the power in an optical signal. It is used to test the average power in fiber optics systems and consists of a calibrated censor, measuring amplifier, and a display used to test wavelengths.

Visual Fault Locators can be used to diagnose and repair simple fiber link problems. It verifies continuity and polarity. The device has a red laser designed to inject a light into the cable. If there is any loss then
