Bob Wills and Roy Acuff
Bob wills was born on March 6, 1905. His parents were John and Emma and he was the first born of ten. At the ripe age of 10 bob performed at a ranch dace with the fiddle. Seven years later bob hopped on a freight train and rode it to God. He had a religious experience and it led to his first radio appearance and marriage. He married Edna and his songs were broadcasted out of Amarillo, Texas. Four years later he moved to New Mexico and began to barber. That didn’t work out so he and Edna moved to Fort Worth, Texas where they had their fist child. Bob did some blackface performing with a guitarist and one of his songs was also recorded this year. Bob then formed a band called “Bob Wills Fiddle Band.” Apparently he wasn’t very creative. Bob later divorces Edna and moves on to Mary Lou. By the early 1940s Bob was divorcing her too. By the 1950s bob opened “Bob Wills Ranch House.” His accountants and Lawyers took advantage of him and he was forced to shut down in 1951 and goes on tour to repay his debts. Bob recorded many hits along the way. He also had a few heart attacks. In 1968 Wills was voted into the country music hall of fame. Shortly after he suffers a stroke. Bob goes into an 18 month coma.
