Through out the history humans have been trying to uncover the meaning of life, but sometimes it is better to stay in the dark. Victor Frankenstein was always curious about human science. After completing his numerous studies, Victor is able to create a living human being. Creating the monster was the biggest mistake of Victor’s life that made his life miserable because it led to the murder of his family, Justine’s accusation and his own death. Mary Shelley, the author of Frankenstein revealed that altering with nature can get destructive by displaying the series events that happens to victor after the creation.

Curiosity is something that makes our world progress and keeps moving on with advances through science and technology. “We feel that the universe is with-holding something we deserve” (Patterson 91). Although sometimes curiosity can uncover some things that are better not discovered. “Escaping the dark” human beings have the tendency to unearth something that his hidden from them even after knowing that it might get them into situation that they wouldn’t like to be in. Victor Frankenstein a genius college student who had researched and worked hard on human science just because of his curiosity of being able to create a life. “I had worked hard for nearly two years for the sole purpose of infusing life to an inmate” (Shelley 54). Every time we humans decide to give our time and full effort on some kind of a project, we have some kind of expectation normally it tends to be positive. After finishing something it is our natural reflex to feel good and we feel miserable if all that effort and time goes waste and your creation turns out to be filthy. Victor Frankenstein spent months on his project to create life and naturally he had expectations from this to get famous and uncover the truth behind life. “Victor build’s his creature as an act of self assertion” (Day 74). Victor finishes his masterpiece and when he takes the final look at what he had created he finds the creature disgusting. “The miserable monster whom I had created” (Shelley 55).

Imagine a new born baby who is forced into the world to live normally without teaching or giving him any experience in the real world. That is exactly what Victor Frankenstein did to the monster he had created. After seeing his creation Victor freaked out and just left the monster there in laboratory. “My first resolution was to quit Geneva my country” (Shelley 224). This is probably the cruelest action anyone could do and he definitely deserved the repercussion that followed his creation. The creature wanted to notify Victor somehow without hurting him. Victor was the only man in the world who could create something close to human life and he was too important of a person to the creature to just murder. So the creature decided to murder his loved once and that would indirectly hurt Victor He wanted to let him know that what he did was wrong and the only choice he has is to help him settle down by giving him stability. These cruel acts were also an act of revenge against victor. "The wretch had already murdered one of his friends and subsequently ended the life of another thus plainly proving that his revenge sought to wound the creator” (M.W.S 81).

He decided to murder Frankenstein’s little brother. “William is dead that sweet child whose smiles delighted and warmed my heart” (Shelley 71). Although this action was cruel and merciless however he had every right to do this. When victor finds out that his brother was murdered he basically looses his mind because he knows
