In 1783 the Treaty of Paris was signed to end the American Revolution. Because America defeated the British in the American Revolution, America became independent. Because America gained independence, they needed a new government. This led to the Articles of Confederation. However, the Articles of Confederation had many weaknesses, the flaws in the Articles of confederation showed chaos throughout the nation and it was discovered in Shay’s Rebellion, Annapolis Convention, and the relations ships between the United States and foreign countries.
In the Articles of Confederation, there were many great faults. The flaws of the Articles of Confederation were discovered during Shay’s Rebellion, Annapolis Convention, and the relationships between the U.S. and Foreign countries. During Shay’s Rebellion, the government could not stop the rebellion and it showed one of the faults of the Articles of Confederation, which is to enforce laws.
