Question 1

Describe the readiness level of the following people (Mandy Simms, Arthur Jones, Will Murphy, and Alice Cooper) in terms of the tasks discussed?

Mandy Simms- Mandy seemed to be able to accomplish the task but was insecure so her readiness would be R3, she seemed to gain confidence after her boss Joe showed support and willingness to help.

Arthur Jones- Arthur's readiness in my opinion was a R4 since he was highly ready and eager to perform the task that Joe gave him.

Will Murphy- Will also seemed to have an R4 attitude since he was confident and willing to assist Joe with helping Mandy with her task.

Alice Cooper- I believe Alice had a R1 readiness level since she was very concern about her ability to check the HMS accounts for discrepancies when joe delegated the task to her.

Question 2

Mandy Simms- I believe Joe used a s3 approach since he was confident that Mandy could find different ideas to apply while encouraging problem solving.

Arthur Jones- Joe used a S4 approach in delegating the task to arthur since he had high readiness and was eager to complete his task.

Will Murphy- Joe used a S2 approach since he effectively persuaded him to help with assisting Mandy with her task.

Alice Cooper- Joe used a S1 approach with Alice by telling her step by step what to do and by giving her confidence, when telling her he would help if she needed him to

Question 3

Mandy Simms- I believe Joe should have used a S1 approach with Mandy because although Joe was confident in her abilities she seemed a little less mentally prepared than what Joe imagined. Also by doing this Joe would have ensured the desired results of this task.
