Therese with her only child, Claire caught in the hands of their suspicious father; Noel who have suffered from a drug-addiction. Hidden in conspiracy, Noel did this for the family’s own good. In effect, Noel dispersed all his anger, due to drug-addiction, to his family, forcing them to be in his will. Claire’s good friend, Norman who is a student knew their suffering and wanted to help. The father is potent and strong. Norman unfolds the possibilities of trying to save Claire and her mother from their evil father.

Scene1

Therese: One can of sardines and lomi...

Tindera: Here you go...

Scene2 At home

Therese:  Nak, let’s eat now... You father will be home soon...

Claire: What does father do this night Mother?

Therese: He is in Divisoria anak.. He is working there...

Claire: Okay, let us eat Mother...

Scene3

Norman: This is comfort! Who will be buying this cocaine, boss?

Boss: Our beloved partner in Bulacan...

Scene 4

Norman: Therese!! How dare you locked up the door!

Therese: I’m sorry Norm... (whacked)

Norman: Damn this house!

Claire watching

Scene 5

Claire is picking up plastics in the dump.

Norman: O hi Claire, why haven’t you attended our classes?

Claire: I stopped. My parents wanted to. We don’t have enough money to be in school. So i’m doing this because I wanted to help my family.

Norman: I’m sorry to hear that... I see, here are some foods to eat. At a young age you’re now sacrificing for the sake of love. How I wish all the youth can be of true sacrifice for their family’s love. But I’m praying for the opportunity that you will get back to school. Education is still a basic need and for you to really uplift your family.

Claire: Thanks, Norman...

Scene 5

Therese and Claire were strolling at Divisoria, on their way home they saw their father on the window of an abandoned house, sipping drugs.

Noel: Therese, get back here!

The two were still running

Noel: Get back here or I’ll shoot you!

Therese and Claire stopped and went with Noel inside the abandoned house

Noel: This is my paradise and will be yours! This is what drives our family to the good. Now, sip this!

Therese: Noel! Who are you? You have a daughter and why this?

Noel: Who are you to disobey me? In our world, I am the Father, I will be followed. Now, the two of you, sip this so we will be in paradise.

Claire: (Crying) Father, please don’t

Noel: Sip it or this will be our end...

Therese and Claire sip the cocaine on the table.

Noel: NO ONE, will unzip her mouth or else you will try me. I am the law and no one must betray me! Understand?

Therese and Claire: (Sobbing and nodded. They inhaled the cocaine again)

Scene 6

Claire was traumatized by the incident but still went on the dump site to work. Norman was walking back home when he saw Claire.

Norman: You look dull, Claire? Have some food...

Claire: No, thank you Norman.

Norman: Everything okay?

Claire: I want you to know that everything’s fine.

Norman: So when will you get back.

Claire: Never.

Norman: Why?

Claire: This is out of your zone. Everything’s fine, nothing to worry...

Claire walked away from Norman.

Scene 7

That night, Norman saw Noel, Claire’s father grabbing the hair of her mother and whacked her hard. Claire was sobbing quietly and watching the pain her mother felt. Norman was shocked and was convinced that Claire and her family are not okay.

Scene 8

Norman went home still panicking.

Norman: Father, Claire and her mom are being hurt by their father.

Father: Son, is that true?

Norman: Yes, Father and it hurts me so much. I am Claire’s friend and I value the essence of having a family. I saw her dad doing it in the most painful way. This has to be stopped. I shall come to their house, Father be with me.

Father: There is another way, Son. You’re rushing and maybe the outcome will be unsuccessful. I understand your pain; I am also hurt to hear that but let us make the right move.
