Decision to Pursue MBA
I decided to pursue my MBA by first understanding the value of the degree. When first contemplating to pursue my MBA, I was unsure of the true value a graduate program could offer. As I researched and spoke to many professionals who had received a higher education I was able to understand the value of an MBA. Now not only do I feel an MBA will provide me with career advancement opportunities, but an MBA will provide me with security. Knowing that I have advanced my education to this level will provide me with the confidence needed to prosper in my future endeavors. I strongly believe that an MBA is a transitional degree. I feel an MBA to be transitional in that an MBA is a building block to start a new chapter for my career. My parents were not fortunate enough to receive a college education, but my parents strived to make sure their children received a college education. For my parents, having their children go on to graduate school is not an option, it is a necessity. My parents are firm believers that education is the key to unlock every door in your life. These are the reasons I chose to pursue my MBA.
