There should never be a time where we decide who dies and who doesn’t. Who made us God? The Almighty is the only one who can make that kind of decision about anyone’s life. We do need to get all appropriate documents filled and signed just in case we can not make this decision ourselves. We all have the right to die. We all should have the legal right to control the manner in which we die. Just because someone’s circumstances have changed does not mean that their intrinsic values and personal dignity does. The terminally ill are a class of persons who need protection for family, social, and economic pressures, and who are often particularly vulnerable to certain pressures because of chronic pain, depression, and the effects of medication.
