Executive Summary
3M® Corporation’s Corporate Headquarters is located in St. Paul, Minnesota, and is a diversified technology company serving customers and communities with innovative products and services, including Post-It® Notes office supplies.
The latest 3M® innovation from Poca, WV U.S.A., is the Post-It® Bracelet. The wrist strap/bracelet, with a small Post-It® container, would fit securely on either side of the wrist. A plastic protector would snap down over the Post-It’s to protect it from everyday hazards. The bracelets would come in different styles for different personalities and purposes.
How many times have you been stuck needing to write down a reminder, but you have nothing to write on but your hand? I have a device that can solve all of that. This product is practical and stylish too. Combine the forces of miniature Post-It® Notes, and a fashionable bracelet, and you get the Post-It® Bracelet. With this, you have a handy reminder right at your wrist! The bracelet has a protective casing over the Post-It’s, so you don’t have to worry about water damage or losing your note. Even better, since the paper is a Post-It®, you can conveniently stick them on your computer screen, car dashboard, cell phone, or wherever as an extra reminder!
The main competition for 3M® and the Post-It® Bracelet would be discount-brand competition who would try to produce their own version and sell them at their stores. Examples of such competition include: Staples, OfficeMax, Office Depot, Wal-Mart, and Target.
The management team for the Post-It® Bracelet would consist of Project CEO, George Foreman, and the rest of the 3M® Executive Team.
Financially, for this project, 3M® would have to borrow approximately $20,000 from its current investors for the test market distribution of the Post-It® Bracelet. The current investors include the common stockholders and other corporate investors in the industry.
