STUDENT EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM SET FOR ANOTHER YEAR

With summer approaching, a newly enhanced provincial employment program is set to continue linking Saskatchewan students with meaningful job opportunities.

The Centennial Student Employment Program (CSEP) now offers participants developmental resources aimed at enriching the opportunity for employers and students.

"The Centennial Student Employment Program receives excellent reviews from participants and continues to be an effective developmental tool," Culture, Youth and Recreation Minister Joan Beatty said. "The enhanced program promotes a mentoring-type relationship between employers and students. We are confident this will benefit students when they've completed their education and begin their careers in Saskatchewan."

CSEP is a five-year program specifically designed to link Saskatchewan students with employment relevant to their field of study or career ambition. The new program enhancement encourages a mentorship between employers and students to increase students' networks, develop a stronger familiarity with Saskatchewan industry and improve knowledge-transfer between experienced and new workers.
