My Take on Marketing
Marketing consists of all activities designed to help provide goods or services for the customer. It is intended to provide the customer with the know how to make a decision on products that he or she wants or needs. More simply put in business terms, activities designed to plan, price, promote and distribute products and or services to target markets. Without marketing you would not know what any businesses had to offer as products or types of services. Marketing allows you to make valuable decisions on the price on a particular product and what price the customer is willing to pay for the product.
Marketing is around us and is going to be for a long time to come. That is why we use marketing in so many ways to persuade potential customers to come over to your company.
There are many methods of marketing, from simple to elaborate and from inexpensive to extremely costly. The following list outlines some common marketing and communication methods used by lots of businesses to reach their potential customers:
• Print advertising such as, newspapers ads, magazines, and community newsletters
• Developing sales flyers, brochures or newsletters for distribution to potential customers.
• Attend trade shows or exhibitions related to your industry, product or business.
• Press releases and public service announcements in newspapers.
• Cooperative marketing efforts with a business that compliments yours.
• Internet marketing for a share in the global marketing.
• Telemarketing
