Gap Analysis: Global Communications
In this analysis I am going to present the problems that Global Communications confront before and after the implementation of an aggressive approach to become a truly global resource. Global Communication was getting behind in the industry. In my Gap Analysis I will identify the issues and the opportunities confronting this company.
Situation Analysis
Issue and Opportunity Identification
The issue for Global Communication was caused by implementing an approved strategy to stand out from the competition by adding new services on their business and consumer customers. This strategy brings multiples adverse situation towards the company. Global Communication confronted a great many of barriers using or choosing an effective communication channel implementing their plan. The senior team went through a not well organize process of communicating their members of their strategy not giving them enough time to prepare and analyze the plan that can go alone and match the company goals.
Not including a union representative in to the discussion brought to the company un-trust from their work force along with a possible lawsuit or strike respond.
Stakeholder Perspectives/Ethical Dilemmas
Communication barriers between senior team members and their different perspectives drove the whole strategy to get difficult to present to their work force. While the CEO was focusing in implementing the changes the HR team was more concern about the image of the company and the reaction of the employees. The EVP-Small Business marketing and sales team was focus on cutting units cost and not worrying about the layoff reaction. The Union representative was having the problem of lack and not effective communication between the senior team and them.
End-State Vision
Global Communication is moving forward to become a leader in the communications business.. Global Communication expect to complete this goal by adding new services in their business and consumer customers creating alliances, cutting units cost and relocating the customer services technical support.
