Our company should consider building this upscale hotel near the convocation center. It is a prime location and would attract out of town guests that would be good for business.
The decision to purchase the land, which is presently up for sale, should be made soon, for two reasons. The first reason is another company may realize the potential of this site and step in to purchase it before we have a chance. The second reason is that the city of Metroburg has plans, and has obtained funds for improving the area, which will make it more attractive. Those plans include a complete landscaping facelift o a park in the area around the convocation center.. This would be the perfect opportunity for us, since we have experience building in the inner city.
Although property values in the downtown area of Metroburg have been going up, and there is a predicted downturn in hotel stays in the near future, it would be worth the risk since recent statistics show that sports arenas bring in many out of town visitors who stay overnight. The accommodations presently offered in the area, aren’t the greatest, mostly fast food at best, but businesses such as sit down restaurants will come into the picture eventually since it is proven that businesses thrive in areas such as these. People would rather stay at a hotel within walking distance and dine on fast food
