  Imagine that the darkness is lighted up by multicolored and dazzling flowers. And you are too afraid of missing the beautiful moment to blink your eyes. The crowd issue from time to time bursts of applause and cheers. Yes, we have seen a beautiful picture of  fireworks. Today I'd like to introduce fireworks to you.

  I come from Liuyang, which is home to fireworks. It is China's biggest producer of fireworks. Over half the world's fireworks are made right here in this region.I have seen many wonderful fireworks show and know much about these beautiful things. Most of you have contacted with fireworks but know little about it.

  So, next, I'll tell you three things about fireworks. They are the history, the production process and the application in important occasions at home and abroad of fireworks.

  Firstly, let's take a look at fireworks' history. It was said that before 1400 years someone was killed by the mandrill in Nanchuan river Even Li Shimin of Tang dynasty had been disturbed restlessly for a long time. Then he sent out an imperial decree to find corresponding treatment.Born in Da Yao of Hunan Liuyang, Li Tian took pains to find the solution. Later he filled pieces of bamboo with gunpowder and blew them up, creating the world's first firecracker. It was not only used to drive away evil spirits and ensure the safety of one place, but also allaied sorrow of LiShimin. Thus Li Tian was made "the founder of firecrackers" by the emperor.This folklore reflects Chinese people's beautiful wishes. Today Li Tian is still honoured as the inventor of the firework with a Taoist temple devoted to him in Liuyang.

  This is the folklore of the fireworks. Now we switch to the production process of fireworks. Take the display shell for example. Firstly, we make shells. Each shell is made of a dome of pressed cardboard from a very thick paper and paste. Then we plug a time delay fuse and insert a layer of paste to complete the initial embryo. Nest is the most dangerous step, filling gunpowder. One of the main ingredients used to make gunpowders is a chemical called saltpetre. When we finish it, lastly we can label, dress and package the production. Despite the joys of flashes and bangs, making fireworks is a highly dangerous business. In such flammable conditions, it is essential to prevent electrical sparks. As staff enter the work area, they have to touch the metal pole to prevent static. We can see that behind the beautiful fireworks is the work of many people.
