History of KLM
In 1919 the Dutch airline company KLM is born. KLM stands for “Dutch Royal Airlines”. It is the oldest airline company who operates under the same name. The home airport of KLM is in Amsterdam, the airport is called ‘Schiphol’. In the first year KLM started, flights were special. An airplane could transport 345 passengers and 25,000 kilos of cargo and mail. Nowadays this is very different. Now KLM can transport more than 400 passengers and 20,000 kilos of mail and cargo.
