At the business exploration stage, what knowledge and other resources did Brad bring to assess the opportunity that the change and trend offered him?

        Brad Matuska brings multiple resources such as education and experiences to access the opportunity that the change and trend offered to him. First, he has always been interested in the sustainability and he has a passion for the earth. Also his mother who was an entrepreneur influenced him. In fact she developed her own real estate business that gave Brad the basic key point to run a business. Furthermore, Brad studied biology at Saint John’s University and he majored in environmental studies, which allowed him to increase his knowledge for soil.  When Brad decided to travel to China to give English courses, his interest for environment and especially soil began to be more and more present in his mind.

After graduating, the young man worked for a large composting system for municipal and commercial uses in Saint Cloud in Minnesota. Thanks to this first job he understood the composting system and he improved his knowledge about recycling. It permits to him to have strong foundation to start a business on his own.

At the new business exploitation stage, what risk reduction and venture organization steps were pondered to create a viable venture?

The biggest challenge for Brad during the exploitation stage was to convinced the community and to develop a relationship based on trust and communication. This exploitation stage engendered noise, odours and traffic so he has to find strategies to work with the local community and not against it.  To achieve that stage, the organisation has been socially responsible and true to limited any trouble. Also they support theirs operations with scientific research and examples.  Finally they made sure they obeyed to the permits regulations and they took their time to resolve any problems with this stage.
