PAC SUN BRINGS A NEW RAY OF CALIFORNIAN SUNSHINE TO MINNESOTA’S MALL OF AMERICA
BLOOMINGTON, MINN. – By having a name like Pac Sun you would have guessed that this unique company was founded in the sunny state of California because of the style of their clothing however you would be gravely mistaken. Pac Sun was founded in 1980 by two gentlemen who go by the name of Jack Hopkins and Tom Moore. The location of their first store was nowhere close to an ocean but they opened a surf shop at the Meadows Mall in Las Vegas, Nev. Jack and Tom did not care they were not 60 E Broadway, Minneapolis, MN 55425 in California because their dream was to, “bring the beach to the people”.
Gary H. Schoenfeld who is currently the CEO of Pac Sun is still keeping that dream alive by opening over 605 stores within the United States and Puerto Rico. This lucky Pac Sun store that will be bringing the sun to the icy tundra will be located on the second floor of the Mall of America. They will be on the eastern side of the building in between the three stores Icing, A’GACI, and The Finish Line.
