Raina Incorporated Announces Pollution-Abatement Program
[BLACKROCK, April 11] Leslie Sludge, manager of Raina’s carborundum plant in Blackrock, appeared at the Blackrock City Council Hearing, to address environmental pollution concerns. Sludge announced company plans to commit $2 million for pollution-abatement initiatives over the next three months.
Sludge has been the manager of the Blackrock branch for two months. Sludge formerly served as manager at Raina’s plant in Fetid Reservoir, New Hampshire, where she was able to convert one of the most pollutant-laden plants in the system to the cleanest, as judged by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Raina intends to hire 100 extra workers especially for this program. The $2 million budgeted for this program will also be spent on two globe refractors, which purify waste in surrounding waterways, as well as four hyperventilation systems, which remove noxious particles dispersed in the air from smokestacks. The program is slated to begin in October, and will produce results as early as two years.
