According to the theory of Herzberg (1959): ’a satisfied worker is a more productive worker.’ It can be seen that to some extend there is a positive relationship between job satisfied and work performance. A group of UK researchers said that they provided the first scientifically-controlled evidence of the connect between job satisfied and work performance:’ Happier people are about 12% more productive.’ (Leber, 2014).
There is three main causes of job satisfaction: first, group organizational factors, such as pay, working conditions. Second, group factors, such as co-worker, manager. Third, personal factor, such as needs, instrumental benefits. As for workers, if companies and employers care more about their welfare and happiness, they may seem like positive trend. The pharmaceutical company Lily had traditional ‘cube farm’ office space, the seat of staff close to each other in same department, people working in these conditions feel uncomfortable, they need more time to make decision and productivity is lower. Lily realized these problems and redecorate the workplace, increasing the amount of shared, temporary, unassigned space, the new space were designed for different types which can provide comfort space to rest ,communication and stimulated creativity. This change make job satisfied doubled and improve employee motivation, and results of investigation show that dates of creating a stimulating atmosphere and attracting employees increased.
