The Value of My Mba "what's Next?

When I rated the value of my degree, I took into account three different kinds of benefits of the degree: the instrumental benefits, the personal benefits, and the intellectual benefits.

Instrumental Benefits:

In career perspective, a MBA degree provides me with quite a lot of career opportunities in various fields. It is especially beneficial to get jobs in high level positions such as managerial and executive level jobs.

In the salary perspective, the typical MBA in the class of 2006 made US$61,302 before earning the MBA degree and expects a post-MBA salary of US$86,350, which is a 41% increase.

Personal Benefits:

A MBA degree involved wide area of training, assignments, reports, presentations, and group projects and all of those gave me the necessary abilities to handle real-life business situations. This helps to differentiate between me and from those who do not have such expertise and can make me a leader in my chosen field.

The friendship that I formed with my classmates and the network that I created could be seen as one of the most important and valuable things that a MBA program gave me. In a research, MBA graduates have often felt that the associations formed during the MBA course are resources that are invaluable and can be drawn upon for years after the MBA degree has been achieved.
