Vincent McMahon is the entrepreneur of World Wrestling Entertainment. World Wrestling Entertainment also known as WWE, is the biggest professional wrestling promotion in the world. It was previously known as Titan Sports, Inc. and has previously done business as the Capitol Wrestling Corporation, the World Wide Wrestling Federation, and the World Wrestling Federation. World Wrestling Entertainment has live shows every Thursday and Monday night along with a monthly pay-per-view event. The shows have the continuing story lines full of drama and different characters that serve as the wrestlers. Professional wrestling is often thought of as a soap opera for men; for people do get very into the storylines that go along with the action and that is why fans continue to watch from week to week. The company is a publicly traded company; however, Vincent McMahon, his wife and two children, own over 70% of all shares.
Vincent Kennedy McMahon was born on August 24th, 1945 in Pinehurst, North Carolina. He is still alive and the chairman of his business currently known as World Wrestling Entertainment. He went to military school in Waynesboro, Virginia where he became the first cadet in the school's history to be court-martialed. He graduated from East Carolina University in 1968 with a degree in Business Administration. Vincent McMahon married the love of his life Linda Edwards in 1966 and had his first child, Shane McMahon, in 1970. Six years later in 1976 Vincent and Linda had their second child Stephanie McMahon who is now the Vice President of Creative Writing for the business.
Vincent McMahon is a very hard working and determined individual and that is why I feel his business was able to skyrocket. McMahon is also very involved in his business, which is another reason why I think it is so successful.
