ABOUT PASSIVE RESISTANCE

There are two types of laws: just and unjust. Everyone has not only a legal but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely, everyone has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws.

It is morally justifiable to peacefully resist unjust laws; unjust laws do not change because a court or government decides; they change because people stand united together to make change happen. The governments of today make laws that self serve their own interests and that of the big corporations that fund them; stating that you are either with us or against us. But what happens if you are neither?

What if instead of taking sides in this government and corporation controlled theatre, a drama that is played out daily all over the planet, we took the third option and refused to play?

We refused to take sides, we refused to make the choice between whatever candidates were thrust before us to vote for, what then? Then the game would be up! Passive Resistance would be born on a global scale and the governments and corporations that control our planet would be left with no one to control, the game that they set In motion would be finished and the people would finally realise that they truly hold the weight of power.

The only way that we, as the people can make a difference is to use the system that is provided, but use it in a way that turns the system on its head. When people vote they exercise their democratic right to change. The biggest change of all is made by spoiling your ballot paper, this can be done by writing Passive Resistance over it. That way, your vote will be registered but it will not be cast for any of the standing candidates and you will have made a stand for true democracy.

You must vote to change anything, if you do not vote the system wins and the game will continue.

If enough people spoil their ballot papers, (writing Passive Resistance over them does this) the votes counted will be void. In which case the standing candidates, who must gain a minimum of 5% of the electorate will lose their deposit.
