We today as African Americans have evolved as well as come a long way. I believe that our Nubian Ancestors actually have endured a lot more troubles that we experience today. I believe we feel too comfortable believing that we are free. The younger generation has this attitude as if the war is over, or because we actually aren’t in a segregated school that things are the way that they should be. Don’t get me wrong things are better we aren’t forced into a religion, we aren’t beaten after wanting to learn to read or write, and we most definitely can vote. For how long though! Even though we don’t slave as hard I believe that we are as great and mighty as our ancestors we just work harder at things that society labeled as important. Things such as sports, music, and acting.

African Americans have contributed a great deal. It began with the inventions that affect how well we operate today as a society. Things such as the elevator invented by a black man named Alexander Miles. Without elevators imagine walking up tons of steps to reach a pint house.
