One of the most acknowledged neurosurgeons in the world,Has his own movie “Gifted Hands “ and book about his life when he was a youngster from detroit Who rose above the circumstances even in his conditions .He became the director of pediatric neurosurgery at John Hopkins University Hospital.He is a pioneer in the medical field because of all the numerous historic surgeries he has done.He gave children with no aspiration another chance at life.

    On September 18th 1951 in Detroit, Michigan , Benjamin Solomon Carson was born  . He was raised by a single mother with a little of education because she dropped out in 3rd grade .Ben carson’s father , Robert Carson wasn't in there lives because he had another family . Ben’s family was very poor but, his mom still told him he could accomplish anything.They were so poor that  she would have to patch clothes from goodwill in order for them to be clothed.

     He graduated with a degree in psychology in 1973, then graduated from medical school at the University of Michigan in 1977. He studied neurosurgery and at the young age of 33 became the director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins. He was perhaps best known for his pioneering work in radical hemispherectomies. The removal of half the brain to help seizure patients, and as a specialist in the separation of conjoined (Siamese) twins.
