2-The development of Chief Bromdem was inevitable. As soon as McMurphy arrived at the ward the chief was intrigued by the way he was. Since the very beginning McMurphy started to work on the chief’s character. The fact that he had to act deaf and dumb in order to not face reality is enough to show that he was very weak.
