Coming Out

Coming out is not easy. For some it is but in the end we all can say that it is not easy. I myself have had to go through this and being able to find a book about people coming out has helped me realize how hard it actually is. The hardest part would have to be coming out to family, not only do you know if you are going to accepted for who you are but you do not want them to think different of you. When I did it I had to ask all my friends multiple of times as to how I should tell them. But once I got it out there I felt like I had let a lot off my shoulders. Think about if your sister or brother were gay/lesbian and your parents did not know. How would you feel? Would you want to tell them? I know I would. Which is why I kept it a secret from my little brother. One of the passages in the book is all about her sibling knowing that she was a lesbian and their parents did not know.
