Free College

Intro. Have you ever thought about becoming a pediatrician, psychiatrist, dentist or a lawyer? Well we only have three years left in high school and not many of us have money saved for college. Only 60% percent of us are enrolled in college or universities says the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. What happens to the other 40%? Well recent high school graduates not enrolled in college are about twice as likely as to be working or looking for work because they can’t afford it.

First body. There would be many benefits if college was free. Benefits as much as for the country and for the individual. One benefit is that everyone would be able to get better job opportunities. The economy would go up because we would have more educated people and everyone would have a nice, stable job. Poverty wouldn’t affect the world that much since everyone would have a good career. Everyone’s lives would be better because everyone would be able to overcome themselves and at the same time they would be helping the government.

Second body. Education is the key to excellence. It’s something that should never be denied to anyone because of their economic status. College should be free and accessible for everyone to improve their capacity and education. For example, my friend was born in a big city. When he graduates he wants to become an engineer but even though he has a job. It doesn’t pay enough for him to go to college.

Counterclaim beginning. Now some may argue that we can just take out student loans or ask the government for some money
