Gods Hands

Ten floors above the solid concreate at Clear Lake Regional, a girl lays quietly on the uncomfortable hospital bed. Machines and cords attached to her chest beeping for the beat of her heart. Doctors stand in front of her as the check her heart, asking how she feels. Nurses standing by her side, telling her it will only hurt for a second as they begin pressing a long needle into her arm. Her roommate on the other side of the curtain, talking about her life story. Colorful Flowers around her room, brought by friends and family. The nasty food on the trey, sitting untouched. The taste of the medicine as it slides down her throat. People coughing as they walk past the hospital room. Family waiting in the hallway for the doctor. Family’s full of joy, hugging one and another as they are told the good news. Sadly, family’s hugging one and another full of tears as they are told the terrible news. Her family’s tears slowly sliding down their faces as they are being told she’s not going to make it. Doctors standing outside the room saying they’re sorry and they have tried and they have done everything they could possibly do. The mom laying with her little girl and holding her tight, as she tells her little baby girl how much she loves her and that this isn’t goodbye, this is see you later. Tears sliding down her parents face as they put their whole world into god’s hands as they ask him to take care of their precious little girl.
