Since the end of middle school we have been told that in order to succeed in life you need to attend and graduate from a four year college. High school has embedded the common core classes into our curriculum to help prepare us to go right into a four year college right after high school. We have been bred into believing that there’s only one way to succeed in the real world.

Instead of going to one school straight into another, one should take the time and live a little and see what interest them so nothing is rushed. Sometimes in the end when you graduate and get the degree you wanted, that very same degree could end up in a box somewhere never to see daylight again. “Bachelor's degrees pay off for jobs that don't even require one: secretaries, plumbers and cashiers” (Source D). Lot’s of there’s job’s pay well and cost no money to get. Of course [insert comma] you’ll have to gain experience by working your way up to that position. Sounds a whole lot better than spending a fortune on getting a job that you could get on your on [wrong word - revise] . Student loans and monetary payoff are all things that former college students want to pay off after they graduate.
