It's OK To Fail

As I look back on my life, I see that I fail all the time in many ways. Sometimes I lose my confidence after I failed again and again, but I told myself: “It’s ok to fail. At least I learned what I should’t do.” Life won’t be perfect because there is no perfect life in the world.  In our lives, we will have a hard time avoid setbacks, such as Paul Logan in his essay“Zero,” when crumpled the report card and shoved it deep in the trash can when he got a “F”(102-3). He must feel very upset about that. Failure is always follow us, especially in a crisis. If we still don't face our failure, we will fail again and again. On the contrary, we can be successful if we learn the reasons why we fail. Failure can helps me find my shortcomings, so I can find a way to fix them and improve myself.

I watched a video about former Apple CEO, Steve Jobs's speech in graduation commencement of Stanford University on Youtube. His way of facing hardships is similar to Paul Logan’s. He summed up his mistakes in losing a power struggle with the Apple’s board of directors, then he correctedhis mistakewhen he left Apple and founded NeXT. After long-term and unremitting efforts, finally he returned to Apple, and he changed Apple’s situation from facing closure and made Apple become one of the most powerful of the high-tech companies. He shows me know important it is to learn from failure.

Every person's life can not always be successful. However, we can’t give up too easily. We need to suffer setbacks and misfortune before we hit the mark. The person who succeeds, can Uphold the objectives , targeted to reach goals and never give up. Therefor, they are often more successful than others. The different between the winner and loser is the winners always say to themselves: “I have not failed yet. I should keep going” and loser always say to themselves: “ I should give up now. I won’t be able to finish anyway. ” When Paul Logan made his secound attempt at college, he believed even “Failure, as painful as it is, doesn’t have to be an ending. It can be a learning experience.” Eventually, his effort led him to graduate from community college with a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
