Jane Eyre talks about her Reeds Family and Rivers family in the novel. We will talk about her experiences with both families and how it helped her shape her tomorrow and to be her true self.

Jane Eyre begins her story as an orphan being raised by her uncles family. Mrs. Reed is the head of the family after death of her husbund. She is forced to keep Jane within her family beacuase of the promise she gave her dying husbund.Jane is treated roughly by her aunt and her cousins (Georgiana, Eliza and John).

Her cousines look down upon her because of her social status. She is often bullied and hurt by John. Jane is chided and reprimanded by her aunt for fighting back with John. She is locked up in a red room where she feels the prescence of ghost. The red room always reminds her of her struggle to find freedon, happiness and sense of belonging.She makes a connection with the red room whenever she is humiliated in the novel.

Mrs. Reed arranges for Janes departure to school at Lowood. The head odf school administration visits Gateshed to meet with them. Mrs. Reed makes derogatory comments about Janes character which upsets her. She draws courage and makes following rebuutal.
