Mistakes Help You Grow
People say that “things happen for a reason”, decisions that we make define who we are and what we become. We do not just magically evolve to who we are today; we let each choice we make guide us down a path of either greatness or destruction. Most people take advice from others usually those who are older than them or family members, but then you have those stubborn people who must learn the hard way because they don’t believe what anyone tells them. Well, I am one of those stubborn people.
If someone were to tell me “Hey, don’t touch that its hot,” I would be the person to touch it anyways just to make sure that it was hot. I usually do not believe anything unless there is hard evidence presented to me. So, because of this, I am the type of person who only learns through making mistakes. There are many mistakes I have made over the past almost seventeen years of my life. This isn’t unusual though, everyone makes mistakes; if you meet someone who says they have never made a mistake, they are lying.
The first mistake I ever remember making was when I was about 6 years old. My hair is very thick and curly, so my mom would have to brush my hair with a big cylinder-shaped brush. Me being a little girl, always watched my mom get ready in the mornings. I was curious about makeup, flat irons, curling irons, etc. So, one day I decided to try and show my mom how much of a big girl I was by getting ready on my own. I was successful
