My Greatest Success in Life

So far in life I’ve done lots of things. I would say my greatest success in life is having a baby that I was not supposed to have initially. When I was 21 years old I became pregnant with my daughter. I had a few problems in the beginning of my pregnancy and for the most part it went like any pregnancy would. Towards the middle of my pregnancy I started having more and more problems, I kept going to the hospital and they kept telling me the same thing the baby is fine. When I was 7 months pregnant some things happened and I started having preterm labor, thus me being first time pregnant I didn’t know what labor was exactly. I saw blood on the toilet paper and didn’t think anything of it. Two days prior to this I had been at the hospital and everything was fine.

I had also two days earlier had been at the hospital because my heart rate was really low. It was in the lower thirties and upper forties. There was something seriously wrong with me and the doctors couldn’t figure out what. Two days after this incident I was back at the hospital, I was having pre-term labor and I was 5 centimeters dilated before I got there. They tried finding her heartbeat and couldn’t find it on the dopplar and then couldn’t find it on the ultrasound machine. I was then told that my daughter was gone. She was stillborn at 7 months old.

About a year and a half later I got pregnant again. This time I was super worried about everything, I had a really good doctor that took really good care of me. I found out later in my pregnancy that I was having a little boy. I was at the hospital for every little thing considering everything that had happened before. I was also on blood thinner shots through my whole pregnancy with my son. He was born at 39 weeks gestation and wasn’t breathing for like fifteen minutes when he was born but the doctor was actually able to help him. I had some problems when I was pregnant with him as well and things started to go like they were when I was pregnant with my daughter. I was also told that I couldn’t have anymore children after I lost my daughter but I was out to prove all the doctors wrong which is what I did. With the help of a good doctor and the right medicines I was able to have my son. This is why I think this is my greatest success so far.
