Personal Goals

What are my personal goals that I want to achieve as a University of Phoenix student? I have many goals that I want to achieve personally and professionally. When I was in high school, I never had the desire or motivation that I have today. I remember doing the minimum requirements just to pass the classes. I was never one of the best students in high school. In fact, I was one of the average students. I had very different priorities than from what I have today. Usually, I would rather go out with my friends, or do something else instead of doing my homework. As I got older, my way of seeing things changed completely. I quickly realized that without a college degree or some type of technical training one could not live a comfortable life. I have several personal goals that I want to achieve while a University of Phoenix student.

One of my main goals that I want to accomplish is to graduate. Everyone should have written goals of the things to achieve in their lives, this way they know in which direction to go and the steps necessary to complete each goal. One of my goals has always been to complete my bachelor’s degree. Now that I am enrolled with University of Phoenix, I hope that the staff here will help me to achieve this goal. I want to have something in paper that says I have put the time and effort to complete the bachelor’s degree. I know its something that will not be easy because each class will present a different challenge. Even if classes begin to get tough, I have made the commitment to stick with every class all the way through. My goal is to take each class at a time and do my best every time. Since I am now attending my first class, I am much closer now in obtaining my degree than I ever was before. My biggest motivator right now is to complete this program in order increase my earning potential in the future.

Another thing I want to do while here at University of phoenix is to socialize and network with different people. I want to meet people from different backgrounds and from different job fields. By talking with people who are now working in their respective fields, I will be able to learn more from them and possibly make some new friends. When I complete my degree here at University of Phoenix, I want to be seeing as someone who has worked hard to obtain my degree. My hope is that when I go out looking for a job, employers will see the degree from this institution with respect. I want to be view by others as someone who is very knowledgeable in the field. My goal is to learn as much as possible about my field of study. Someday I want to be seeing as an authority
