For this paper I will be discussing my assumptions toward our government and the percentage of taxes they take out of our pay checks. I will also be discussing the problem at hand and as well as possible ways to handle them. It is in my own opinion that the government takes out too much money out of out paychecks due to taxes.

My paycheck from work is a great example of the conflict that had just been mentioned. Every two weeks I put in about 15 hours about 3-4 day per week. At the end of the two week cycle I get about $125. Based on the paycheck stub I have discovered that $30-$40 is taken out for: FWT, MED, and also OASDI. Before I had been employed I was unaware of how much the government takes out for taxes. I wasn’t unaware how drastic the issue was. However, after working for some time now, I am fully aware of the issue. Now, I assume that way too much money is taken out for taxes and I believe that how much they do take out is a bit to drastic.

I am aware that, by law, the government must take out taxes from each of our paychecks. However, I believe that there is a firm line between too much and what is necessary. It is because of this factor that I now assume that the government is very untrustworthy and I have now have very little or no respect for it.

To prove my assumptions correct, I also asked others about their paychecks as well and asked them the question at hand: Does the government take out too much of our paychecks for taxes? All my theories proved correct. Before conducting the survey, I was aware that the majority of the people I asked would answer yes. But I wanted more than just yes or no answers. I also asked if they believed that it was a good idea to take out this much or that much per item. Their answers only proved my assumptions correct. Originally, I thought it was very self centered of myself to believe that so much shouldn’t be taken out due to taxes. However, after asking people my age who are fully employed, my assumptions are stronger than ever. Each person fully believed that way to much is taken out. Despite the fact that those who work on average 20-25 hours a week, a weeks pay is likely to be deducted out of their total for taxes.

Like I previously stated, I assume that the government is very untrustworthy and I highly disrespect the government. On the one hand, I am fully aware that my society has always taken out taxes. I didn’t pay attention to it when I was younger. However, now that I am working to support my needs, it is a very different
