What are the chances?
It was probably about six years ago now. I was about twelve years old and living in my old house. The house was located in Winchester Hills, a small neighborhood roughly a fifteen minute drive north of St. George, Utah. My friend, Jason Rob, and I were playing in my backyard. Jason was my best friend at the time and we spent many hours playing and having fun in our backyards. However’ we were usually in my yard due to the fact that I lived on three acres of nothing but sage brush, a small dry wash, and lizards. This was the perfect place for two twelve year olds to play and get in as much mischief as possible.
We were always keeping ourselves busy in my backyard. We loved building forts all over. We would play cowboys and Indians or “army” all day long. Jason lobbed the ball into the air. I then took aim and fired. Bb guns aren’t the best weapons for shooting moving targets, and therefore I missed the ball. The bb however, didn’t stop and continued on its path right into the side door window of my family’s motor home. I guess Jason and I didn’t put this potential hazard to thought before Jason tossed the ball.
At first, Jason and I just stood where we were. We just looked at the window, trying
