The Dreadful Summer with the Knights
Having to be alone in this disgusting place is a nightmare. Signing up for this contagious trip to go to Paris and live with the Knights was a terrible taste of trouble for me. I wish I could go back home with my best friend Laraib. Being here is so upright boring and doesn’t interest me a bit to stay here. I’m different from “these people” and how “they” do things. They wake up everybody in the house at the crack of dawn, we say grace, and we eat the trocious food, and then we take a shower. All this knick knack small stuff just to wake up for in the morning is a terrible taste of sour apples and by the time we finish with eating and bathing it only be around 6:30 7:00 o’ clock. Can you imagine spending your whole summer waking up early, doing chores, reading 4 chapters a day, and having little free time to do what you want to do later on in the noon time? I think not. This is how it all started.
I woke up that morning with a terrible headache and a taste of old sour milk in my mouth. Last night I forgot to roll my hair, I looked like an old crack head on drugs just steady scratching my head. Our family maid came in and woke me up for school as you can see I had a hard time waking up. So I got out of bed and went to go take my shower. When I got out the shower I went downstairs to sit at the table for breakfast. “Good morning everybody” I said. Our family maid brought to the table some fresh well buttery old fashion biscuits, some hot and very well seasoned eggs, and some delicious brown and black sausages. My dad, my mom, and I eat well that morning.
After breakfast my dad took me to school and dropped me off. This was the last day of school and for some odd and strange reason I was very exciting to go to my first class today. My first class is American History. This class is so boring it’s like watching the owls on the discovery channel. But today was the day the class signed up for the Summer Exchange Program. I ran in that classroom as quick as a button, I was the first to sign up. It was a few people that didn’t sign up for the program, including my best friend Laraib. Laraib was the only trustworthy friend I had. We were to peas in a pot. We stuck together like peanut butter and jelly. But this summer I planned on leaving her for the whole entire summer.
School went by like a summer breeze. After school Laraib and I went back to my house and took a swim in my swimming pool. The water was freezing like the Atlantic Ocean but we got in anyway. The water started warming up when we were in there for a while. This was the last day me and Laraib were going to hang out with each other. We stayed in the pool for 2 hours, just swimming and playing tag. It was about 6:30 and it was time to say goodbye to each other. We gave each other a big bear hug and I walked Laraib halfway home.
After walking Laraib halfway home, I went up to my bedroom and helped the maid finish packing my bags. When I was packing I smelt dinner cooking in the kitchen. It smelt so good. When everything was packed I ran down the stairs, but then I heard my father and my mother talking in the living room so I stopped on the bottom step. “I don’t think Laraib should go to Paris and live with a family we don’t know.” Well, I think it would be a good experience for her to go.” After I heard this conversation I ran in the living room and interrupted this outrageous conversation. “Dad what do you mean you don’t think I should go?” “Well, we don’t know these people and something could happen.” “I really want to go, please don’t take this opportunity from me!” “Let her go.” So my parents officially decided that I could go.
The next day I woke up extra early that morning with the chickens. I was excited about going to the airport, riding on the plane, and meeting the family I was going to stay with. I already knew what county I was going to. I was going to Paris! We arrived at the airport; I heard a lot of garbage street talking at the airport. Everything was going normal at the airport. My flight number was 2434 and it just flew in. I said my last goodbyes to my family and I waited in line for the flight attendant to take my ticket.
Finally, I was at the front of the line and she took my ticket and I was on my way. When I walked on the plane, I saw a lot of crying and loud babies crying. I thought to myself this is going to be a long flight. I found my seat. I was sitting to this bald, sloppy, crossed eyed monster. He was so fat. I sat down in my seat and at this time the pilot asked for everybody to fasten their seat belts and get ready for take off. This was my first time experience on a plane and everything was going smooth. At first the plane was moving slow as a turtle and then it started picking up speed. Before you knew it I was
