The story can be divided into two parts. Part A is from the beginning to paragraph 10. Part B is from paragraph 11 to the end of the story.

Part A introduces us the main character, Sammy and the foil character, Stokesie.

SammyЎ¦s vivid fantasies toward his customers and working place were told in term of first narrator in the opening paragraph. And his disapproval of customersЎ¦ lives implies us that Sammy is something of a nonconformist, which indicates the conflict between him and the policy of the working place.

Rise-in-action occurs in the beginning of the part B till the climax. How Sammy responses in such a situation that his manager blames those girls? Then the conflict results the Climax about how Sammy will act. Climax is in the paragraph 21, when Sammy tells his manager, Lengel, he wants to quit. He canЎ¦t stand at what his manager has treated to those girls, and then he makes his first step into independence. ЎЁThe girls, and whoЎ¦d blame them, are in a hurry to get out, so I say Ў§I quitЎЁ to Lengel quick enough for them to hear, hoping theyЎ¦ll stop and watch me, their unsuspected hero.ЎЁ
