Truman Show Speech

Could you imagine living inside a world that’s inside a that’s world inside another world it seems pretty unrealistic but that is a aspect of society that is shown in the Truman show.

As you can see in my project there is Truman’s world inside the plastic cage, there is the outer world, which is Christof’s and his actors, and then outside the plastic screen is the real world.

Inside Truman’s world it is very small for him, this relates back how Truman’s wants to explore the real world that is out side of his cage but he’s trapped like an animal,

The positioning of Truman’s cage in the centre symbolises he’s the centre of everyone else’s world he is also displayed as a super hero in my diagram, in the scene where the TV station cuts out and everyone goes into panic reinforces that they rely on him like they would If he was a super hero.

Out side of Truman’s cage theirs Christof’s world he’s is situated above everyone as a god figure, like he is depicted in the movie by the way he controls not only Truman’s world but all 3

I perceived him as a puppeteer the way he controlled how everyone acted and the emotions they felt, Christof says a line we’ve become bored watching actors give us phoney emotions.

Were tired of phirotechnics and special effects which is quite contradicting to how we actually see him its not 100% fake but Christof guides Truman to feel a certain way and say certain things, this is quite prominent in the reuniting scene with is father

He says things like cue the music, easy on the fog and change to button camera doing all of these little adjustments makes people feel a certain way and its just another way he controls the 3 worlds

You will also notice that Christof actors are fake, plastic, expandable solders and that’s how Christof makes them out to be not real people not real emotions just plastic soldiers doing what there told.
