Trump for President 2k16?

Though it is quite far away, our nation has been eagerly waiting for the Tuesday that will reveal the next president of the USA. Through various heated discussions, our country has had a chance to see who are the current and most qualified presidential candidates. Although the competition is stiff, we all recognized the most notable name among the Republican candidates, the controversial businessman Donald Trump. From Trump's numerous TV interviews and public appearances, many believe that he is the right person to be the head of our country. However, I believe that he has the least credentials because he is untrustworthy, has no government experience at all and has the wrong morals to be a leader of our country.

Much like the other presidential candidates, Donald Trump also promises to take action to improve America and our quality of life. For example, he promises to stop ISIS, keep Iran from building nuclear weapons, build a wall along the US-Mexico border (and have Mexico pay for it), repeal President Obama’s executive orders on immigration and ObamaCare and spend more on infrastructure. Although most of these solutions are quite reasonable and great fuel for a presidential candidate to gain supports, the reason I believe he is untrustworthy are for other reasons. For example, Donald Trump was accused of hiring actors to cheer for him at his presidential campaign announcement. According to the Hollywood Reporter they said they obtained an email from a casting company offering actors $50 to attend the presidential announcement and pose as Trump supporters. Additionally, he always boasts about his wealth and how much money he has, but where does all that money go to? Though he insisted that he has donated $102 million worth of cash and land to philanthropic and conservation organizations over the past five years, there have been no tax filings of the Donald J. Trump foundation to show he had made a charitable contribution to his own namesake nonprofit since 2008.

Unlike most of the other presidential candidates, Donald Trump is unqualified to be a president. First of all, he switched parties. In August 2001, he switched from being an independent to the Democratic Party, where he remained for eight years. Also, this is one of the five known situations where he changed his political affiliation. For example, 10 years ago, Donald Trump wasn't even a Republican. Additionally, he used to support Democratic ideas, such as universal healthcare, assault weapon bans, and the choice to get an abortion—all things that he has now changed his mind on. Moreover, he has no government experience at all. Compared to Hilary Clinton, former secretary of state, or Bernie Sanders, former representative and senator, Donald Trump has held no government position before.

Overall though, the main thing that I think that makes Donald Trump unqualified is because he is racist. From one of his various speeches he has said, "When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.” During another speech regarding China, he stated, "When these people walk in the room, they…say, ‘We want deal!’” Donald Trump also said that, "laziness is a trait in blacks." Besides being racist, he is also extremely sexist. Over the course of his career and many interviews and public appearances, he has consistently insulted, belittled, sexualized and stereotyped women. For example, he criticizes women celebrities, like Megyn Kelly and Hilary Clinton. Donald Trump called Megyn Kelly a "bimbo" when he "didn't recognize" the remarks she was saying about him calling women he doesn't like "'fat pigs', 'dogs', slobs', and 'disgusting animals.'" He also said that, "If Hilary Clinton can’t satisfy her husband then what makes her think she can satisfy America?"
