Briefly tell us what this book is about (without giving away the ending, of course!).
This book is about black people and white people. The black people are crosses and rule over the white noughts or 'blankers'. Callum, a nought grows up with Sephy, whose father is the leader of a strong political party. Their 2 families hate each other, and Sephy and Callum begin to fall in love- dangerous, considering one is a nought and one is a cross.
How does the title relate to the storyline?
Noughts and crosses are the two classes of people, noughts are white people and crosses are black people
Is there something interesting that the author does to present the story?
