What I Learnt About Myself Through These 3 Tests and How I Will Use This Information in the Future
WHAT I LEARNT ABOUT MYSELF THROUGH THESE 3 TESTS AND
HOW I WILL USE THIS INFORMATION IN THE FUTURE
The tests I will discuss about are 3 and there are the following: Belbin Test, Drivers and Career Anchors. At the beginning I didn’t expected that I will learn so many things about myself through them, because I thought I was conscious about my qualities and my weaknesses. But that seems to be a misconception idea.
The First test- Belbin- It was a test of knowing your place in a team- it was a team role inventory test. My higher scores were cumulated as a “Specialist” – 17 p, followed by an “Implementer” -13 p. On this test I guessed the answers because I was implicated in many projects during this year, so I understood my role in a team. I like to specialize in something, to feel competent and to know that I can deal with every problem that occurs on the way. I like to know that I can achieve my goals and to be dedicated to that problem. I pay attention to details and I want that everything be done perfect and this is the reason I like to work on something that I know how to solve it, instead of working on something that make me feel insecure. My quality is also my weakness because I can give ideas only on a narrow front. Because my second result was ”Implementer” I am a practical and efficient person that turns ideas into actions, but in the same time I am somehow inflexible to new possibilities and that was a point that I learned about myself and I will try to chance in future.
The second test- The Drivers- represented the most interesting test between them because my results were: Hurry Up-71 p and Be Perfect-65 which are somehow a contradiction but in my case are a mix of both. The only thing that didn’t suits me from the description of a HP person is that I do things on the last minute. This is not true because I like to start working as early as I can to make sure that time is on my side and I can have enough of it to fix the problems that appear and at the end everything will be done right. I rush the things and my partners because I like a schedule and them to be on time at the meetings. I prefer to check myself everything rather than trust a person that don’t inspire me enough attention to work, that his task is solved. In time I learned that I should concentrate on finishing the tasks but not with the price of don’t paying attention to details. I offer my best in a given period of time that satisfy the deadline but also is something valuable. The details make the difference but you can’t present by half the final project. Somewhere there must be a balance. I improved that to myself during years and now I am proud to manage
