Human Immunodeficiency Virus OR (HIV) scientists say that one out ten people have this disease. And chances are they don't even know they have it. The reason for this is because the virus mutates to keep one step ahead of your immune system, also this disease goes inactive or remission for many years where it resurfaces with full force. AIDS ravages the immune system, undermining the body's ability to defend itself from infection and disease. It is caused by the Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome or (AIDS); HIV leaves an infected person vulnerable to opportunistic infections.

The virus is even present in saliva and tears although it is unknown if it can be transferred.
