Macbeth

Act 1, Scene 1

(4) I think that there is an event which is about to unfold which will have a sinister side, due to the fact that that the Witches were involved. The Witches also say something about "Hurly-burly" this means that there is some type of commotion or conflict that is likely to occur and gives us an idea as to what the future holds for the story.

Act 1, Scene 2

(4) Today is a day of great happiness; we have won the battle, thanks to our noble men, Banquo and Macbeth. I have therefore awarded Macbeth the title, Thane of Cawdor; he shows all of the qualities of a great leader. I am mostly sure that he will make us all very proud. Strength Intelligence and Bravery are the ingredients needed to make a great Thane, I am hereby glad of what has become of this day. Long live Macbeth!

Act 1, Scene 3

Macbeth is simply superstitious and therefore believes in what the Witches were saying. I probably would have believed them as well because it is not everyday that things like this happen and I would have to say that because of this, it can possibly be true.

What Duncan is saying is that he has invested interest in Macbeth and has given him a chance because he definitely sees potential in Macbeth and knows what he is capable of achieving and he will see to it that Macbeth be successful. As appreciation, Duncan invites him self to Macbeth's Castle.

Act 1, Scene 5

Lady Macbeth seems very intent on having Duncan killed to achieve her goals so she and her husband can become the next rulers. She draws on her sweet mouth to persuade Macbeth to go on and carry out this vicious act of violence on the King. She
