Iraq &Vietnam two wars same results so far.

Vietnam and Iraq war. These two wars are very similar but they took place in very different time periods. The war of Vietnam was a war that took place in Vietnam and was considered one of the worst wars the U.S. has ever been involved in ever. Today we are at war in a place called Iraq. This county is located in the middle eastern area of the world and is a desert waste land. The reason I chose these two pieces of history is simple, they both aren’t really winning wars. The only two wars that have really been winning ones. At least that’s what Iraq has really turned out to be so far. These two wars both have had big anti war groups against them. Our president George W. Bush might go down as one of the worst presidents ever to run the United States of America because of the war he got the United States into. The United States has gone through a lot of wars that we didn’t need to get involved in but those wars have always turned out to have a good outcome.

The recent war we are in at the moment is a war that was started because supposivly the government found some papers on weapons of mass destruction from Sadam Housan in Iraq. So pretty much the war we are involved in right now is over some papers that might not exist. This war was nicknamed the “War on Terror” because it’s sole purpose was to stop Iraq’s terrorists from launching nukes at other countries. I am neither a supporter nor an anti war person on this war because I don’t have enough information to actually make a decision. I believe that if we are still in Iraq there must be a darn good reason for it. Maybe our troops stumbled across some nuclear weapons and got rid of them. Who knows? All I know is that we are shelling out a lot of money for such a expensive and not really productive war. Iraq has had few productive parts to the war. We found Sadam and he was executed and killed. Iraq overall is a more stable country now and school, hospitals, police forces, oil production are all supposedly a lot better in Iraq now. Were there ever any weapons of mass destruction found? Probably not but there are still productive things that occurred in Iraq.

Vietnam is similar to Iraq because it was to help another country not our own and in the end Vietnam was the only loosing war the United States of America
